The EU Moves to Force Google to Open Android and Search to Rivals
- European regulators are finalizing binding orders that would require Google to let rival AI assistants plug into Android and to share some of its search data with competitors, under the EU's Digital Markets Act.
- A decision is due by the end of July, and non-compliance can carry fines of up to 10% of global revenue.
