TSMC Plans a Further $100 Billion in the US as AI Chip Demand Surges
- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., the world's largest contract chipmaker, said it plans to invest a further $100 billion building advanced plants in the US, on top of an existing $165 billion Arizona commitment.
- It came alongside record quarterly revenue of $40.2 billion and a sharply higher spending plan, as demand for AI chips shows no sign of cooling.
