Hyundai says the tariffs are working. It has the numbers to show what they cost
- Hyundai is raising its US investment plan to $26 billion through 2028 and wants its Georgia plant producing up to 800,000 vehicles a year.
- Its chief executive says tariffs are accelerating the shift and is unusually blunt about it.
- The company also paid about $2.9 billion in tariffs last year and watched operating profit fall 19.5%.
