Hughes Bondholders Weigh Their Options as a 1.5-Billion-Dollar August Deadline Nears

Investors in the debt of Hughes Network Systems, EchoStar's satellite-internet arm, are weighing restructuring and even bankruptcy as roughly $1.5 billion of bonds come due in August.
Hughes has warned of 'substantial doubt' about its ability to continue and says it cannot rely on its parent's giant spectrum sales for a rescue.
