For 175 years the America's Cup has been run at the whim of whoever held it.
Now the sailing world's oldest trophy has its first-ever chief executive, Marzio Perrelli, a former Goldman Sachs banker, hired by five teams to turn an episodic regatta into a durable commercial property, starting in Naples in 2027.
