NASA May Send a Spare Nuclear-Powered Rover to the Moon

NASA is studying an unusual cost-saver: take a spare rover built as a twin of the Perseverance Mars vehicle and send it to the Moon instead.
Because it runs on nuclear heat rather than sunlight, it could survive the two-week lunar night — a key edge for exploring the Moon's south pole.
It's a proposal, not a confirmed mission.
