Equinor's profit doubles to $11.5 billion as oil and gas prices lift Norway's producer
- Equinor, Norway's state-controlled energy company, reported second-quarter adjusted operating income of $11.48 billion, roughly double the $5.72 billion it earned a year earlier.
- Higher global oil and European gas prices did the work.
- The company raised its buyback and held its dividend at $0.39 a share.
